Racing Incident Report

After being boxed, FLORAL DYNAMITE became quite fractious, then when the gates opened bounded in the air, came from the gates awkwardly, shifted ground and bumped the hindquarters of GOOD LAD. In the early stages, EL VIENTO pulled hard, because of this was difficult to settle and at about the 800 Metres shifted out abruptly from behind HIGH POTENTIAL. Also in the early stages, SUPER WONGCHOY raced ungenerously, threw its head about and shifted some ground. As a consequence of this at about the 900 Metres, some inconvenience was caused to FOR YOUR EYES ONLY. Rounding the Home Turn, HIGH POTENTIAL hung out. In the run to the winning post, GOOD PROSPERITY had a tendency to shift ground. Because of this, E Legrix on one occasion stopped riding and straightened. MAGIC TOUCH was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Officer examined MAGIC TOUCH. No abnormalities were detected. However, because of the performance of the horse, it cannot race again until it passes an official veterinary examination. EXCITING TIMES and FLORAL DYNAMITE were sent for sampling.
Additional Veterinary Reports (released on 18 Oct 2002):
GOOD LAD was treated yesterday for abrasions and bruising to its left hind leg which were obviously suffered during the race last Wednesday night.
