Racing Incident Report

SIROCCO was withdrawn on 3.10.02 on veterinary grounds (swelling in all four fetlocks) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter DANRIVA. SPRING FOUNTAIN was withdrawn on 5.10.02 on veterinary grounds (lame left fore). Before racing again, SIROCCO and SPRING FOUNTAIN will both be required to pass an official veterinary examination. When the gates opened, FLYING BISHOP bounded in the air. On jumping, CHEEKY and KIMBO BELL brushed. For some distance rounding the Home Turn, CHEEKY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLYING BISHOP and tight inside TURBOJET. Approaching the 200 Metres, MASCOT TREASURE was disappointed for running between DANEFACTOR which shifted out slightly and DISTINCTION which was starting to give ground and shifted in slightly. To find running, MASCOT TREASURE was shifted out and near the winning post was inconvenienced slightly by CELEBRATION. After the 200 Metres, DANEFACTOR and DANRIVA were momentarily crowded for room by DISTINCTION which was taken in slightly by CHEEKY which was inclined to get away from FLYING BISHOP. In the circumstances, no action was taken. FLYING BISHOP, GIFT and KIMBO BELL were sent for sampling.
