Racing Incident Report

Whilst parading, TATTENHALL kicked out and made contact with a rail. After arriving at the Start, the horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race. After being boxed, CLAWS OF THUNDER became fractious and reared. CLAWS OF THUNDER was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations it was passed suitable to race. Before CLAWS OF THUNDER can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. When the gates opened, MR HAPPY bounded in the air. On jumping, TATTENHALL shifted in abruptly and bumped ALWAYS ZIETEN. From a difficult gate, MY DELIGHT was obliged to race wide throughout and without any cover. Near the winning post the first time, TATTENHALL and ALWAYS ZIETEN were crowded for room between KING OF FISH and MASTER MARAUDER (M Cahill) which was endeavouring to shift in. M Cahill was reprimanded and told he must exercise far more care. About the 1000 Metres, MR HAPPY was steadied when momentarily crowded by PEARL AND GOLD which got its head on the side and shifted in. About the 500 Metres, MR HAPPY was severely checked when crowded by PEARL AND GOLD which momentarily shifted away from CLAWS OF THUNDER which also shifted in slightly. In all the circumstances, no action was taken. Just after straightening, PEARL AND GOLD shifted in abruptly in an endeavour to find running inside HARMONY PRINCE, approaching the 200 Metres when disappointed for this running shifted out abruptly in an endeavour to improve outside HARMONY PRINCE and KING OF FISH. PEARL AND GOLD was again disappointed, shifted in abruptly and near the winning post was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running inside CHARIOT OF WEI HAI. About 100 Metres out, ALWAYS ZIETEN was accidentally hit on the head by the whip of Y T Cheng (CHARIOT OF WEI HAI). In this incident, the whip of Y T Cheng broke. MR HAPPY was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. The post race clinical examination of MR HAPPY revealed no abnormalities. ALWAYS ZIETEN and CHARIOT OF WEI HAI were sent for sampling.
