Racing Incident Report
On leaving the gates, SHANGHAI FRIEND and FLORAL DYNAMITE came together. WEALTH STAR left the gates very awkwardly and tailed off. WEALTH STAR was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, WEALTH STAR was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He said the horse on pulling up was making a respiratory noise and an endoscopic examination revealed a significant inflammation in the horse's throat. Before WEALTH STAR can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Near the 800 Metres, SHABU SHABU was momentarily unbalanced when racing close to the heels of STRONGHEART. In the middle stages, ORLANDO FLYER, which was tending to pull, got its head up when being checked to avoid the heels of BORN DRAGON. In the run to the winning post, STRONGHEART shifted out. SHABU SHABU, STRONGHEART, CIRCUIT KINGDOM and FLORAL DYNAMITE were sent for sampling.
