Racing Incident Report

The start was delayed as IN THE MONEY was difficult to load into its stall. Before being allowed to race again, IN THE MONEY will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. PERFECT SHADOW and BLESSINGS' PARTNER were slowly away. NEW DYNASTY left the gates very awkwardly, shifted out abruptly and made contact with SUPER COMBINATION. As a result of the manner in which NEW DYNASTY came from the gates, A Marcus was momentarily unbalanced. Then near the 800 Metres, NEW DYNASTY got its head up, raced ungenerously and hung out across the heels of LUCKY VICTORIES. ELEPHANT DANCE, DANDY BUNNY, LUCKY VICTORIES, NEW DYNASTY and SUPER COMBINATION were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that BLESSINGS' PARTNER had sustained a laceration to the lower part of its right hind leg. Subsequent to the race, the Veterinary Surgeon examined IN THE MONEY. He said the horse on pulling up was making a respiratory noise and subsequent to an endoscopic examination he reported the horse in his opinion was showing signs of having a displaced soft palate.
The Senior Veterinary Officer, Dr Brian Stewart, has today advised that NEW DYNASTY, which ran last Sunday at Sha Tin, is now lame in its left side hind leg. Before NEW DYNASTY can race again, the horse will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
