Racing Incident Report
DANHERO, second Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 11.6.02 on veterinary grounds (lame near fore). Before being allowed to race again, DANHERO will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. The start of the race was delayed as the tongue tie on FAIRWAY FINDER was refitted after the horse had arrived at the gates. FAIRWAY FINDER then left the gates very awkwardly with its head up, shifted out, became unbalanced and lost a lot of ground. ASIA STAR also jumped very awkwardly with its head up, shifted out and bumped GRANVILLE ISLAND. QUICK NEWS was slowly away, just after the start was unbalanced when close to the hindquarters of WILFUL FLIGHT. About the 500 Metres, GRANVILLE ISLAND was steadied to avoid the heels of ETERNAL START which shifted in when only just clear. About the 400 Metres, WINWIN COMBINATION momentarily shifted ground and bumped HONOURABLE. Near the 200 Metres, CLASSIC RIZZI was steadied and shifted in to avoid AMITY which was getting away from the rail. HONOURABLE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
