Racing Incident Report

Whilst in the Parade Ring, it was noted that HAPPY YEARS was showing some signs of stiffness in front. After arriving at the Start, the horse was trotted up, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and following the necessary consultations it was decided HAPPY YEARS was suitable to race. After being loaded into its stall, GREEN FINDER kicked out behind and damaged a rear gate. The technical people at the Start advised that to repair the gate would take some time, therefore it was decided to move all horses drawn from 10 to 14 out one stall and leave the damaged box 10 vacant. After being taken from the stall, GREEN FINDER was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. After the race, it was noted that GREEN FINDER had abrasions over the near side hock and the area of its near side hind cannon. DASH FOR VICTORIES left the gates very awkwardly and threw its head up. FLYING FAST left the gates awkwardly, then raced greenly throughout. In the run to the winning post, THE MOST DAUNTLESS shifted out. Y T Cheng (HEAVENLY WIND) explained at about the 400 Metres his whip broke. After the race, it was noted HEAVENLY WIND had sustained an abrasion to its near side flank.
