Racing Incident Report
CZAR OF PRUSSIA and BOND were slowly away. EXULTATION left the gates awkwardly. In the early stages, KIMBER hung in. About the 600 Metres, GRAND FIGHTER shifted out, became unbalanced and was steadied when close to the hindquarters of KENZAN. CZAR OF PRUSSIA made the turn awkwardly, shifted out, this caused some inconvenience to SHINING CROWN and to EXULTATION. About 100 Metres out, BOND, which was closing off strongly, was shifted out to avoid EXPEDIENT. Throughout the race, PAOBRIDGE hung in. PAOBRIDGE and CZAR OF PRUSSIA were sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. After the race, it was noted PAOBRIDGE was again making a respiratory noise. The Veterinary Surgeon said this was similar to when the horse won at Happy Valley on 24 April 2002.
