Racing Incident Report
FORTUNE PRIZES left the gates very awkwardly, shifted out and bumped CLASSIC MASTER. Turning out of the Straight the first time, TRIUMPHANT FEELING and DANEFACTOR came together. S Dye (DARWIN) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)]. The careless riding being that approaching the 1200 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when not clear of TRIUMPHANT FEELING. As a consequence of this, TRIUMPHANT FEELING was crowded onto LITIGADO which in turn shifted ground, causing crowding to NAUGHTY NAUGHTY. After taking into account all the circumstances of this case and giving full weight of the submissions put by S Dye, the Stewards decided the appropriate penalty was for him to be suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday 16 May 2002 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the meeting next Sunday 5 May 2002 at Sha Tin. DARWIN was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
