Racing Incident Report
Mr Y O Wong, trainer of STRAIGHT SCOTCH, was fined $2,000 for presenting the horse in the Parade Ring without its tongue tie. On leaving the Parade Ring, H K Yim was dislodged from CHAMPION SPEED. After the horse was caught, it was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was unfit to run. Accordingly CHAMPION SPEED was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. On jumping, CHARIOT OF WEI HAI was crowded for room between STORM BARRIER which shifted out abruptly and WYNDAM EASY which on leaving the gates shifted in. Also on jumping, BLISS OF HEAVEN and JOYFUL SPIRIT bumped. Just after the start, JOYFUL SPIRIT dipped. JOYFUL HEART jumped very awkwardly with its head up, shifted out abruptly and lost a lot of ground. DYNAMIC FUN was slowly away. In the early stages, STORM BARRIER raced very greenly and shifted a lot of ground. Also in the early stages, BLISS OF HEAVEN proved difficult to settle, then in the middle stages hung out. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, JOYFUL SPIRIT hung out badly. In the Straight, CLAWS OF THUNDER raced ungenerously and hung in.
