Racing Incident Report
A RUN OF LUCK, which was restless after being boxed, jumped awkwardly and threw its head about. SIR TIMAH left the gates awkwardly, shifted out and bumped NO COMPETITOR. In the early stages, CHIVAS LAD proved very difficult to settle, after the 800 Metres became unbalanced and on several occasions threw its head about, then near the 800 Metres when continuing to pull was unbalanced when close to the heels of NO COMPETITOR. S Dye (ACE ACADEMY) said he pulled the whip on the horse in the Straight and whilst it was making some ground, about 100 Metres out he formed the view ACE ACADEMY was resenting being hit with the whip and accordingly he put the whip away and rode the horse to the finish hands and heels.
