Racing Incident Report
On jumping, THE KING OF CLOYNE and TRIUMPHANT MASTER were checked when crowded for room between TRIPLE EXPRESSO which shifted in slightly and WINNING COUNTER which shifted out away from SMART WINNER. Near the 1000 Metres, PRIME WITNESS got its head up and lost its position when awkwardly placed between VICTORY MARBLE and WINNING COUNTER which was momentarily taken in by OVATION (Apprentice M W Leung) who immediately straightened and allowed the appropriate racing room back to WINNING COUNTER. In the opinion of the Stewards, most of the trouble experienced by PRIME WITNESS was brought about by it making the turn awkwardly and laying out towards the heels of WINNING COUNTER, however, Apprentice M W Leung was advised to exercise care at all times when shifting ground. About the 400 Metres, VICTORY MARBLE and SOLID CONTACT came together. About the 200 Metres, SMART WINNER, which was shifting out to go forward, brushed CHAMP DE UNION. PRIME WITNESS and SMART WINNER were sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. After the race, it was noted WINNING COUNTER had lost its off side hind plate.
