Racing Incident Report
PRINCELY HORSE was withdrawn on 1.3.02 on veterinary grounds (lame near fore foot) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter FORTUNE LIFE (M Kinane). Before being allowed to race again, PRINCELY HORSE will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. Before being presented in the Parade Ring, FLASH HARRY had a nail added to the inside of its off side hind plate and the horse was trotted up, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said FLASH HARRY was suitable to race. FLASH HARRY jumped awkwardly and threw its head up. CHERISHED also came from the gates badly and on jumping SPINNING CITY threw its head around. On leaving the gates, VAJRA stumbled slightly. Just after the start, CHIU CHOW HERO was unable to maintain its position between CLASSIC SYMPHONY and SPEED MASTER which was shifting in slightly. In the early stages, FORTUNE LIFE, which was racing wide, proved difficult to settle. FORTUNE LIFE then continued to race greenly. STORM BARRIER made the first turn awkwardly and hung out onto the hindquarters of CHERISHED. In the middle stages, CLASSIC SYMPHONY hung out and raced tight inside SPEED MASTER. SPINNING CITY made the latter part of the Home Turn awkwardly and shifted out. SPINNING CITY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
