Racing Incident Report

Just after the start, PLATINUM EXPRESS and NEW DYNASTY were crowded for room between CHARMING STRIDE which shifted out and POWER OF SUCCESS which shifted in slightly. Near the 800 Metres, MILLENNIUM DAWN struck the heels of FORTUNE SALLIAN and knuckled. It was established that in the run up to this incident, the race was being run at a relatively quiet pace with a number of runners pulling and approaching the 800 Metres, CHUK WAY (B Marcus) shifted across the running of EVERWELL FOREVER (J Egan) when just clear. Because of this, EVERWELL FOREVER momentarily shifted in and caused MILLENNIUM DAWN, which had been racing tight for some time, to be steadied. When being steadied, MILLENNIUM DAWN clipped the heels of FORTUNE SALLIAN and stumbled. The Stewards were unable to establish any rider or riders were fully responsible for the incident and accordingly no action was taken. However, both B Marcus and J Egan were advised to exercise care at all times. About the 500 Metres, PLATINUM EXPRESS got its head up when being checked to avoid the heels of FORTUNE SALLIAN. Rounding the Home Turn, CASH hung out. After the 300 Metres, MY FAVOURITE was checked and shifted out when disappointed for running between PLATINUM EXPRESS and MILLENNIUM DAWN. About the 200 Metres, PLATINUM EXPRESS became unbalanced when crowded between MILLENNIUM DAWN and FORTUNE SALLIAN. After pulling up, A Suborics was dislodged from CHARMING STRIDE. GOLDEN BELL was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
