Racing Incident Report
FERRULE was slowly away. SUNNY, which was leaning on the inside of its gate, came out a little awkwardly. In the early stages, SOUTH CHINA NINETY had a tendency to pull, about the 900 Metres was shifted out to avoid the heels of GLORY ST PAUL'S. About the 500 Metres, PAOBRIDGE became unbalanced and shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of WINNING MASCOT. B Marcus (LUCKY LAD) explained about the 700 Metres the horse momentarily brushed the running rail and became unbalanced. S Dye (TOM'S FIRST) said the horse was slowly away as it has been previously. He went on to say although TOM'S FIRST was in a rearward position, it travelled nicely in the run and with 500 Metres to go he was confident the horse would figure in the finish. He did say although it obtained a nice run through the field in the Straight, TOM'S FIRST did not close the race off as he expected it would. SUPER SPRINT was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
