Racing Incident Report
MIR jumped awkwardly and shifted out. On jumping, ELITE WIN bumped the inside of its stall. As a consequence of this, Apprentice Y T Cheng momentarily lost the use of his off side iron. When the gates opened, LUCKY MASTER bounded in the air, then raced greenly throughout and proved difficult to manage. About the 400 Metres, LUCKY MASTER shifted out abruptly from behind LUCKY KING, bumped the off shoulder of WINNING ASSOCIATES, as a consequence that horse became unbalanced, stumbled and E Legrix was almost dislodged. After this WINNING ASSOCIATES was eased down. The performance of LUCKY MASTER was considered unacceptable and before the horse can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. On the first turn, COURAGEOUS WIN was reluctant to hold its position between MIR and WINNING PLEASURE. When COURAGEOUS WIN lost its position, some inconvenience was caused to SHADOWFAX which was following. After the race, W Woods (LUCKY MASTER) reported to the Veterinary Surgeon that the horse was not properly balanced at any stage of the race. LUCKY MASTER was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said he could not find any abnormalities.
