Racing Incident Report
Whilst being saddled, it was noted WINNING MASCOT had spread its near side front plate. The horse was re-plated before being presented in the Parade Ring, trotted up, inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon who said WINNING MASCOT was suitable to race. TOP WINNER left the gates awkwardly. About the 600 Metres, TOP WINNER was momentarily tight for racing room between AMITY and BUMPER SUPREME which shifted out slightly away from the rail. Near the 400 Metres, SUPER ELITE was steadied to avoid the heels of PERFECT CHOICE. Near the 100 Metres, K S Yu (STARLIGHT SUPREME) dropped his whip. About 100 Metres out, WINNING MASCOT, which was giving ground, was steadied when crowded between STARLIGHT SUPREME and HEAVENLY WIND which shifted out. E Legrix (BUMPER SUPREME) explained on straightening his saddle shifted back, this placed him at a disadvantage over the concluding stages.
