Racing Incident Report

The start was delayed as the bridle on ROYAL PARTNER came off and had to be refitted. About the 1600 Metres, IMPRESSIONIST was checked rather severely when crowded between EL KING PRAWN which was pulling and shifted out and DON SEBASTIAN which got its head on the side and shifted in away from OPTIC FRIENDLY which itself was shifting in. In view of all the circumstances involved, it was decided no action should be taken. About the 1400 Metres, EL KING PRAWN, which was proving difficult to settle, was unbalanced on the heels of TEQUILA POP. As a consequence of this, some inconvenience was caused to DON SEBASTIAN. Rounding the turn and in the Straight, GOOD POWER hung out and because of this about 100 Metres out F Coetzee stopped riding and changed his whip hand. Near the 400 Metres, ROYAL PARTNER was unbalanced on the heels of EL KING PRAWN. W Woods (ZIETENGO BOY) explained at no stage of the race was the horse comfortable in tonight's going. ZIETENGO BOY and GOOD POWER were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
