Racing Incident Report
On jumping, BEST NEWS was crowded for room between GREAT INTENT and RED COMMANDER, both of which shifted ground. In the early stages, GREAT INTENT, which was proving difficult to settle, was taken in by RED COMMANDER. SPECTACULAR WIN had a tendency to make the Home Turn awkwardly and lay out. After the 400 Metres, WINNING TOUCH was steadied and shifted out to find running. About 50 Metres out, WINNING TOUCH, which was giving ground, was steadied when tightened between RED COMMANDER and BASKETBALL WINNER. In the run to the winning post, SPECTACULAR WIN shifted in, this caused some inconvenience to BASKETBALL WINNER. FLORAL CHEERS was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that GREAT INTENT was lame in its off side front leg. Before being allowed to race again, GREAT INTENT will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
