Racing Incident Report

After being boxed, ALL THE GLORY became fractious, reared, was temporarily cast. On being released from the gates, the horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and on his advice was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before ALL THE GLORY can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial (stalls test). On jumping, SURPLUS knuckled. About the 700 Metres, WINNING COUNTER commenced to hang out and on the latter part of the Home Turn hung out badly. As a consequence of WINNING COUNTER hanging out, inconvenience was caused to BULLISH and to V-CAN. The performance of WINNING COUNTER was considered unacceptable and before the horse can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. In the early part of the Straight, RARE was checked when disappointed for running between LOYAL DEVOTION and SURPLUS. About the 300 Metres, LOYAL DEVOTION and SURPLUS came together. In the run to the winning post, LOYAL DEVOTION raced tight between DELIGHTFUL SPECIAL and OUR CLASS which shifted out. Throughout the race, SUCCESS MAGIC hung in. As a consequence of this, the horse was not able to be properly tested out in the Straight. The performance of SUCCESS MAGIC was considered unacceptable. Before it can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. On returning to the scale, R Fradd (LOYAL DEVOTION) sought permission to view the official video film as he considered there may have been grounds to lodge an objection against the winner, DELIGHTFUL SPECIAL. After viewing the available film, he did not think it was appropriate on this occasion to proceed. Accordingly, weighed-in was semaphored. OUR CLASS was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
