Racing Incident Report

On jumping IDEAL PARTNER threw its head about. SEVEN GLORY, which was restless in the boxes missed the start. About the 500 Metres PERFECT VICTORY shifted out from behind CALIFORNIA TYCOON, this caused some inconvenience to BACK SEAT DRIVER and obliged that horse to race wider. RED DEVIL which was following BACK SEAT DRIVER was momentarily shifted in. Just after straightening ELLEN'S WON was shifted out abruptly to improve. In the run to the winning post, PERFECT VICTORY had a tendency to get its head on the side and shift in away from ELLEN'S WON which itself was being taken in by RED DEVIL. After the race it was reported that CALIFORNIA TYCOON had sustained a laceration to the inside of its near hock.
