Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the track, it was noted that CORE PRINCIPLES has lost a plate. This was refitted before the horse was presented for parade. GOLD FLASK jumped awkwardly, bumped the inside of its gate. After the 600 Metres, GOLD FLASK got its head up, became unbalanced when being checked to avoid the heels of PERFECT CHOICE which steadied when racing awkwardly behind EASY WAY. After the 400 Metres, GOLD FLASK again got its head up, became unbalanced when checked from between PROFIT MASTER which shifted in slightly and PERFECT CHOICE which was giving ground and shifted out. The occurrence was accidental. In the Straight, GOLD FLASK hung in and proved difficult to ride out. Just after the start, STARLIGHT SUPREME was checked rather severely when crowded between SUPER CONNECTIONS which shifted out and SHAXI TREASURE which shifted in. The occurrence was accidental. Shortly after the start, PROFIT MASTER was checked when crowded for room between STERLING CHANCE which shifted in and EASY WAY which shifted out away from SHAXI TREASURE. In the circumstances, no action was taken. In the early and middle stages, PROLIFIC WINNER hung in. Over about the last 200 Metres, HORSE OF HEALTHY was held up for running, as a consequence the horse was not properly tested out. After the 200 Metres, QUICK COMMANDER was checked rather severely and shifted out abruptly to avoid EASY WAY which was giving ground. About 100 Metres out, CITY COMMANDER was steadied and shifted out abruptly to avoid PERFECT CHOICE which was giving ground. EASY WAY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was reported by the Veterinary Surgeon that EASY WAY was lame in its near side front leg. Before EASY WAY can race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subject to an official veterinary examination.
