Racing Incident Report

Before being presented in the Parade Ring WINNING MASCOT had an adjustment to its off side front plate and to its off side hind plate. GOOD CHANCE was slow away. IDEAL PARTNER jumped very awkwardly with its head up and just after the start was awkward on the hindquarters of LOTUS SUPREME. MERRY MERRY missed the start slightly, was then checked when crowded between LOTUS SUPREME which shifted out and THE YOUNG TREASURE which on leaving the gates shifted in abruptly. Just after the start MERRY MERRY was again inconvenienced by THE YOUNG TREASURE which was racing awkwardly with its head up and momentarily shifted in away from CLASSIC JESTER. These incidents in the opinion of the Stewards were accidental. For some distance after the 800 Metres, EASY KING raced tight inside MERRY MERRY which had been ridden along to go forward and in turn was racing tight inside CLASSIC JESTER (D Whyte) which had a tendency to lay in. After the 200 Metres CLASSIC JESTER, which was continuing to hang in, shifted ground and caused some crowding to MERRY MERRY. As a consequence of this D Whyte momentarily stopped riding and changed the whip into his right hand. About the 400 Metres, THE YOUNG TREASURE, which was giving ground, got its head up and lay in away from STRONG WIN. As a consequence of this BOBO DUCK was crowded onto the WELL EXPRESS and checked. LOTUS SUPREME which was following, was hampered as a consequences and shifted out abruptly. Because of the circumstance no action was taken. MERRY MERRY was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
