Racing Incident Report
Whilst parading before being mounted, APPLES AND ORANGES shifted its near side front plate. The horse was returned to the stalls area to be re-plated and permission was given for it to proceed direct to the Start. MULTI-WINNER, which was standing with its head awkwardly placed, left the gates slowly. PROLIFIC WINNER jumped with its head up, then hung in throughout. Near the 1000 Metres, STARTRICE became unbalanced and dipped. In the middle stages, COQ D'OR had a tendency to over-race and on several occasions got close to the heels of STARTRICE. In the early part of the Straight, COQ D'OR was steadied and shifted in to avoid HOLLYWOOD STAR and find running. MULTI-WINNER was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
