Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the barriers, R Fradd (SPEED WIN) expressed concern with the action of the horse. SPEED WIN was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He could find no abnormalities and passed the horse suitable to race. SUPER MOLLY, which was restless after being boxed, jumped awkwardly with its head in the air, then approaching the 200 metres got its head up when being shifted to the outside of HANDBAG'S HONOUR. SOLO jumped very awkwardly with its head up, shifted out and made contact with UNIVERSAL WINNER. SOLO made the first turn awkwardly, shifted out onto the heels of WINNING MASCOT. Near the 600 Metres, SPEED WIN became unbalanced and shifted out when awkward on the heels of DELIGHTFUL SPECIAL. W M Lai (WINNING MASCOT) explained he had been instructed by the Trainer from the outside gate to steady the horse and try to find a position close to the rail rather than push forward. He said WINNING MASCOT travelled satisfactorily in the run and in the Straight he was able to give the horse an uninterrupted run and it found the line nicely. The explanations submitted by W M Lai were on this occasion accepted. HANDBAG'S HONOUR was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
