Racing Incident Report

Just before the gates opened, ALL THE BEST had its head turned slightly to the off side. ALL THE BEST came out awkwardly, then shifted ground and was momentarily awkward on the heels of GOOD POWER. After missing the start, ALL THE BST was ridden along to find a position and when being steadied running to the first turn, ALL THE BEST got its head up, hung out onto the heels of HUGE HOPE. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, ALL THE BEST raced awkwardly with its head up and hung out. On jumping, ETERNAL START shifted out and bumped FISH KING. BRILLIANT was slowly away. Just after the start, EXCEPTIONAL was steadied when crowded for room between GRACE AND GLORY and HUGE HOPE which was racing ungenerously and shifting ground. In the early stages, HUGE HOPE, which was travelling wide without cover, over-raced and threw its head about. In the early part of the Straight, BRILLIANT was held up behind HUGE HOPE and tight on the inside of ALL THE BEST. Near the 300 Metres, HAPPY BOY was momentarily crowded by COSMO ONE, then about right on the winning post when finishing the race off strongly, HAPPY BOY was crowded for room by FISH KING which shifted in. In the Straight, GALAPAGOS raced ungenerously and shifted ground. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that HAPPY BOY had sustained a laceration to its near side hind heel.
