Racing Incident Report

The explanation tendered by D O'Neill regarding him being declared for both GOD OF WEALTH and BEETLE was accepted. It was established his firm commitment was for BEETLE. HAVE A GOOD TIME, which was difficult to load, left the gates awkwardly. The barrier behaviour and performance of HAVE A GOOD TIME were considered by the Stewards to be unacceptable. Before the horse is allowed to race again, it will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subject to an official veterinary examination. BEETLE, which was restless after being boxed, was slowly away. HAPPY PRINCE jumped awkwardly. Shortly after the start, GOD OF WEALTH and NATURE'S TREASURE were taken in by HOLE IN ONE. About the 1400 Metres, STORM BOY became unbalanced when awkward between CLEAR MASTER and DE INTEGRO which momentarily shifted away from the rail. About the 1000 Metres, NATURE'S TREASURE became unbalanced when awkward on the heels of HAPPY PRINCE. ENORMOUS WAY, which was following, was also inconvenienced. About the 700 Metres, INVINCIBLE GENERAL was momentarily awkward behind HOLE IN ONE, shifted out and made contact with WINNING LUCK. About the 600 Metres, THE MIGHTY SWORD was steadied when disappointed for running between DE INTEGRO and NATURE'S TREASURE. Approaching the 300 Metres, THE MIGHTY SWORD became unbalanced when awkward behind CLEAR MASTER and tight on the inside of NATURE'S TREASURE. NATURE'S TREASURE and HAPPY PRINCE were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. Following the race, it was reported that CLEAR MASTER had bled from both nostrils.
