1 5 TAVERNER (CK227) Z Purton B/TT From a wide draw raced without cover for 900M then crossed to a 2-wide position ahead of midfield, responded well inside 400M and kept grinding away, led near 50M and just got the better of the 2nd in a head-bobbing finish.
2 10 FIONN'S DRAGON (CL046) H W Lai TT Began awkwardly, positioned midfield off the fence, angled out to clear inside 550M, came with a late surge final 200M and collared winner close home only to lose out in a photo finish.

9 7 TAKNAM (M096) M W Leung -- Slow to begin, urged along to stay in touch with the field, last into straight and switched to widest to challenge, stayed on well.
10 6 REAL SUPREME (CL247) O Doleuze V/TT Set early pace, relinquished the lead before the turn and was 4Ls behind breakaway leader turning home, quickened well up the rail but ran into traffic near 250M and didn’t have a clear crack to the line.
