2 14 FAST GO (CJ181) C K Tong B/TT Copped a check at the start settling midfield. Made constant ground whilst shifting in after the furlong and ran to the line gamely.
3 11 FAIR NAVIGATOR (CJ254) K C Leung B/TT Showed plenty of early dash to spear forward in the middle of the course. Held on gamely to finish in the frame.
4 9 MIGHTY FEELING (CL025) J Lloyd -- Showed nice early speed to take up a prominent position towards the outside. Fought on gamely when challenged from the 400m, tiring on its efforts close to home.
5 4 CHEVALIER KING (CK289) Y T Cheng XB1 Parked behind the speed. Shifted towards the outside in the final stages and worked to the line evenly.
6 12 GOOD FORTUNE (CK279) J Winks H/TT Travelled about 3 back towards the middle of the course. Maintained a steady gallop right to the post.
7 2 FOREST STAR (CJ167) M Chadwick TT Badly checked at the start settling a long last. Made some late ground along the grandstand side.
8 1 DESTINY'S CHILD (CK156) W Pike XB1/B2/TT Camped on the back of the speed near the outside fence. Had every chance.
9 7 GOLDMEN Y Y (CL036) O Doleuze B1 Recieved a solid check at the start and never fully recovered settling towards the rear. Passed some tiring runners close to home.
10 10 WIN PET (CK409) B Doyle -- Settled with the backmakers towards the outside. Failed to quicken at any stage.
11 6 GOLD JOINT (CK394) G Cheyne B1 Sent forward to lead down the outside. Commenced to tire quickly after the 300m. (Pulled up distressed.)
12 13 EXTRACTIVE (CJ247) K L Chui XB/B1 Raced towards the centre of the track in a midfield position. Struggled in the final 400m.
13 8 MIGHTY CHAMPION (CK236) M L Yeung -- Settled midfield after being severely checked at the start. Was well beaten joining the course proper.
14 5 CLASSA FOR EVER (CD085) H W Lai B/TT Shifted out very abruptly at the start causing interference to a number of runners to its outside. Eventually settled behind the speed on the outside fence, tired noticeably in the run home. (To trial.)
