Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 423.

After the event, rider reported that his mount lay out throughout the middle stages and near the 800M was steadied when it shifted out towards a runner - Race 527.

11 H306  AFFIRM  08/01/2025   329  AFFIRM (H306) when questioned regarding his riding, rider stated that from a wide barrier the instructions were to take up a forward position. He said in the early stages he rode his mount along to comply with the instructions, however, his mount did not show its usual pace and was unable to cross runners to his inside. He said in the Back Straight he was of the opinion that the riders of other two runners were looking to obtain cover and for that reason he continued to ride his mount forward in an attempt to cross runners to his inside. He added his mount continued to not respond to his efforts to go forward and came under pressure at the 600M before giving ground badly from that point. Following the race was examined by the vet who revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 329.

After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea - Race 352.
