She said as a result her mount settled further back in the early stages, then raced keenly and refused to settle throughout the early and middle stages of the event when caught wide behind a runner. She said as a consequence in the Home Straight her mount failed to respond to her riding. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 223.
