4 14 I P O BROS (K193) Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running.
5 2 PACKING GLORY (L013) On jumping made heavy contact with TURQUOISE VELOCITY due to both runners shifting ground. Z Purton reported that his mount found it difficult to finish the race off under its top weight of 135 lbs. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
6 4 FULL OF LAUGHTER (L017) Throughout the event raced greenly and lay in and as a consequence proved difficult to ride out in the Home Straight.
7 5 GET FRIENDLY (L069) Near the 300 Metres was accidentally struck across the head by the whip of R Kingscote, rider of FULL OF LAUGHTER.
8 10 VIVA FIRECRACKER (L065) No report.
9 12 SPICY SPANGLE (J087) No report.
10 6 MAGIC SUPER (K330) Jumped only fairly. Between the 300 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running behind FULL OF LAUGHTER.
11 13 COME FAST FAY FAY (K121) Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 200 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between SO MY FOLKS and MAGIC SUPER which shifted in after being steadied away from FULL OF LAUGHTER. Again near the 100 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between SO MY FOLKS and MAGIC SUPER.
12 7 SO MY FOLKS (K456) No report.
13 3 DERRYNBLUE (K539) L Ferraris stated that his mount became badly unbalanced on jumping when it stumbled. He said as a consequence DERRYNBLUE lost ground and then in the early stages did not travel well. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
14 1 ALSONSO (J405) J McDonald stated that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the event and gave ground noticeably over the final 150 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, ALSONSO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
