Racing Incident Report

1 1 CIRCUIT FIERY (H475) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 6 DOUBLE SHOW (G250) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 10 HE WAS ME (J535) Jumped only fairly. Despite being ridden along in the early stages did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. Approaching the 1200 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters by KA YING POWER which shifted in. Near the 350 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
4 5 DECRELOT (J551) Bumped shortly after the start.
5 4 SOMETHING JONAH (K024) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. J Orman stated that from the outside barrier he was instructed to take up a forward position. Trainer D J Hall confirmed the instructions and stated that he issued those instructions on the basis that with sheepskin cheek pieces being applied today he was of the opinion the horse would show more pace and it would be difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight from back in the field.
6 8 VERBIER (J187) Bumped shortly after the start.
7 11 ISLAND GOLDEN (H018) No report.
8 14 EURO ROCKS (H153) In the early and middle stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid DECRELOT.
9 3 SMART ENGINEER (K244) Bumped at the start. Passing the 350 Metres was steadied and shifted to the outside of EURO ROCKS to continue into clear running. SMART ENGINEER then had some difficulty obtaining clear running for a short distance thereafter when racing tight between EURO ROCKS and GALE SAGA. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 2 GALE SAGA (J152) Shortly after the start raced tight between DECRELOT and VERBIER, both of which shifted ground. Near the 350 Metres made contact with HE WAS ME when endeavouring to obtain clear running. Over the final 200 Metres did not obtain clear running when held up behind DECRELOT and SOMETHING JONAH.
11 12 ALL EYES ON ME (J453) Jumped awkwardly and made contact with SMART ENGINEER. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
12 13 WISDOM STAR (J351) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
13 7 KA YING POWER (H169) Shifted in approaching the 1200 Metres and was bumped. Raced keenly in the early stages. M L Yeung stated that after enjoying a reasonably good run with cover KA YING POWER did not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, KA YING POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
14 9 LITTLE FAIRY (H206) Jumped only fairly.
