Racing Incident Report

DEMONS ROCK and MR LUMIERES were crowded for room on jumping between PRINCE HARMONY which began awkwardly and shifted in and WINNING WAYS which shifted out.
JOYFUL FAMILY began awkwardly.
YOUNG LEGEND was slow to begin.
A short distance after the start, WINNING WAYS and DEMONS ROCK raced tight between MR LUMIERES and FANTASTIC EIGHT which shifted out.
Approaching the 100 Metres, YOUNG LEGEND was shifted in away from the heels of WINNING WAYS to continue improving. YOUNG LEGEND was shifted in further away from the heels of MY BEGINNER’S LUCK near the 50 Metres.
After the race, Z Purton was unable to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of MR LUMIERES which, after racing in a prominent position in the early and middle stages, came under pressure after the 500 Metres and then weakened noticeably over the latter stages of the race. A veterinary inspection of MR LUMIERES immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MR LUMIERES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
STYLING CITY and FANTASTIC EIGHT were sent for sampling.
