Racing Incident Report

Just prior to the start being effected, JUN HAO became fractious and then as the gates were released reared and lost a substantial amount of ground and consequently trailed the field throughout. As JUN HAO had been barred for a similar occurrence following its most recent start, Trainer D J Hall was advised that prior to being permitted to race again, JUN HAO will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial on two consecutive occasions.
ROYAL PARTNER began awkwardly.
From the outside barrier, KING TAI SING was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Approaching the 600 Metres, BOULD MOVER was steadied away from the heels of CELESTIAL CENTURY which was taken in by HAWTHORNE.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, ROYAL PARTNER got its head on the side and lost ground after shifting out across the heels of DIAMOND ELEGANCE.
After the 500 Metres, SUPER PLUS got its head on the side and lay out.
At the entrance to the Straight, KING TAI SING was shifted out away from the heels of SUPER PLUS.
Passing the 300 Metres, HAWTHORNE and CELESTIAL CENTURY raced tight as CELESTIAL CENTURY shifted out to obtain clear running.
The Stewards will interview C W Wong regarding his use of the whip on JUN HAO in the Straight prior to the Happy Valley racemeeting on Sunday, 14 April 2013.
A veterinary inspection of DR SUPER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of HAWTHORNE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings other than the horse had lost its right front plate.
CELESTIAL CENTURY, GOLD EDITION and TOUCH GO were sent for sampling.
<11/4/2013 Additional Veterinary Report>DR SUPER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. DR SUPER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer T K Ng this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, DR SUPER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
