Racing Incident Report
SUPER PISTACHIO and CARTHAGE were slow to begin. JACOBEE travelled wide and without cover until near the 1200 Metres. Near the 850 Metres, CALIFORNIA MEMORY and IRIAN bumped. MR MEDICI was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and then passing the 150 Metres was held up behind KING DANCER. Then near the 50 Metres, MR MEDICI was shifted out away from the heels of KING DANCER. For these reasons, MR MEDICI was not fully tested in the Straight. CALIFORNIA MEMORY was unable to obtain clear running until after the 300 Metres. After the 300 Metres, PACKING OK was shifted to the outside of SUPER PISTACHIO when disappointed for clear running to the inside of that horse. B Prebble (THUMBS UP) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that after the 200 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of SUPER SATIN, causing that horse to be checked and lose the running to which it was rightfully entitled when crowded onto CALIFORNIA MEMORY. B Prebble was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday, 1 December 2011 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Happy Valley racemeeting next Wednesday, 23 November 2011. Near the 100 Metres, CALIFORNIA MEMORY was steadied when crowded for room between IRIAN and THUMBS UP which shifted in. B Prebble was reprimanded and advised to make more effort to keep his mounts straight. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SUPER SATIN had lost its left front plate. A veterinary inspection of JACOBEE after the race did not show any significant findings. CALIFORNIA MEMORY, THUMBS UP and PURE CHAMPION were sent for sampling.
