Racing Incident Report

SHARE OF GOLD was withdrawn on 8.5.11 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by first Standby Declared Starter BRILLIANT ONE. WINNING MASCOT, second Standby Declared Starter, was also withdrawn on 8.5.11 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right fore infection). Before being allowed to race again, SHARE OF GOLD and WINNING MASCOT will both be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After being loaded, DEPOT BOY momentarily got its left hind leg up on the barrier platform. NICHOLSON was severely checked at the start when crowded for room between CITY DRAGON which, after being bumped on the hindquarters, was taken in across NICHOLSON and HERO’S WIN which was taken out by VIVA DOLPHIN which in turn was taken out by DEPOT BOY which itself was taken out by BRILLIANT ONE which got its head on the side and shifted out. In this incident, DEPOT BOY was also badly checked and VIVA DOLPHIN and HERO’S WIN were hampered. RUMBA KING began awkwardly, resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced in the saddle. REAL GENEROUS was slow to begin and then shortly after the start was bumped by TENDER MELODY which shifted out after beginning awkwardly. Passing the 900 Metres, REAL GENEROUS was steadied away from the heels of FOR SZESZE SAN which shifted out. SUPREME JEWELLERY and RUMBA KING were sent for sampling.
