Racing Incident Report
The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in whilst they considered if KING OF HEARTS had been afforded a fair start. After taking evidence from W M Lai, the rider of KING OF HEARTS and Mr F C Lor, assistant trainer to Mr J Moore, and after viewing the official videos, the Stewards found that KING OF HEARTS stood flat-footed as the start was effected and consequently lost a considerable amount of ground. As it was apparent that there was nothing that prevented KING OF HEARTS from jumping with the field, weighed-in was declared on the numbers as semaphored by the Judge. Before being allowed to race again, KING OF HEARTS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. PRAISING was slow to begin and shortly after the start was taken across behind runners. From the outside barrier, DIAMOND KNIGHT was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After this, DIAMOND KNIGHT raced wide and without cover. Approaching the 600 Metres, DIAMOND KNIGHT got its head up and proved very difficult to settle. At the 600 Metres, GOOD STRIKE was checked away from the heels of AFFLUENCE OF RAIN which itself was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLASHING AURA. Passing the 50 Metres, PRAISING and AFFLUENCE OF RAIN bumped. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that LOADS OF JOY was lame in its left hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, LOADS OF JOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ELITE OF CHIU TON and FLASHING AURA were sent for sampling.
<24/3/2011 Additional Veterinary Report>The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that PRAISING was lame in the left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, PRAISING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
