Racing Incident Report

BUDDY BUDDIES began awkwardly HARSH BROWN blundered at the start. MULTIPROUD and NOBLE VISION bumped on jumping. SUPREME KNIGHT began awkwardly. From a wide barrier, MOBILE STAR was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. When being steadied shortly after the start, GENERAL DANROAD got its head up and proved difficult to settle. Making the first turn passing the 900 Metres, BUDDY BUDDIES shifted out across the heels of NEW VISION and was severely checked when reluctant to maintain its position inside that runner. Before being allowed to race again, BUDDY BUDDIES will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. Also making the first turn passing the 900 Metres, CLEMENT SPIRIT was checked away from the heels of NEW VISION. MOBILE STAR, which was following, was hampered in consequence. Passing the 800 Metres, CLEMENT SPIRIT lost ground when racing in restricted room between NOBLE VISION and GENERAL DANROAD. Near the 650 Metres, NEW VISION, which was racing greenly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of SUPREME KNIGHT which became unbalanced. NEW VISION then continued to race greenly for some distance thereafter and near the 500 Metres lost ground. In this incident, NEW VISION shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of GENERAL DANROAD which became badly unbalanced. NOBLE VISION, which was following, was hampered in consequence. Near the 200 Metres, FLASHING GUY was crowded for room between STAR LEGEND which shifted out and MULTIPROUD (M Chadwick) which shifted in. M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care. A veterinary inspection of MOBILE STAR after the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of GENERAL DANROAD after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FLASHING GUY had bled from both nostrils. ALWAYS WELL, HARSH BROWN and MULTIPROUD were sent for sampling.
