Racing Incident Report
On arrival at the barriers, it was noted RED LOTUS had lost its left front plate which required the horse to be replated. RED LOTUS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. EXTRACTIVE and CRYSTAL MAGNUM were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, KIMBER FORTUNE was steadied when crowded for room between NOBLE DE LAGO and SEIZE THE DAY which shifted out. Passing the 800 Metres, KIMBER FORTUNE lost ground when checked away from the heels of SEIZE THE DAY. Making the first turn, THE KID got its head on the side and shifted in, resulting in SEIZE THE DAY being crowded for room. In this incident, THE KID became unbalanced. Passing the 250 Metres, THE KID, which hung in, was steadied out away from the heels of NOT QUITE PERFECT. Over the concluding stages, THUNDER FLASH raced tight inside PAR EXCELLENCE which shifted in away from NOT QUITE PERFECT. Throughout the race, FLYING SPRINTER travelled wide and without cover. NOT QUITE PERFECT and PAR EXCELLENCE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that NOBLE DE LAGO had lost its left front plate.
