Racing Incident Report
On jumping, INVINCIBLEKINDNESS and GOUF were taken back from wide barriers. ELITE FORTUNE began awkwardly and lost ground. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, HORSE WIN WIN failed to muster speed. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, KUNG FU was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR COOL. At the 850 Metres, KUNG FU, which was proving difficult to settle and racing close to the heels of LUCKY WINNER, was then shifted out away from the heels of LUCKY WINNER and as a result bumped MR COOL which was badly hampered and carried wider. In the circumstances, the Stewards accepted that KUNG FU was proving difficult for its rider, C W Wong, to control and therefore no action was taken. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, LUCKY WINNER shifted out slightly as MR COOL shifted in. This caused the shoulder of MR COOL to make contact with the hindquarters of LUCKY WINNER, resulting in the hindquarters of MR COOL shifting in. KINGIFLY, which was racing to the inside of MR COOL, struck the heels of that horse, blundered and almost fell. ELEGANT WIN, which was following, was checked severely and INVINCIBLEKINDNESS and HORSE WIN WIN, which were following ELEGANT WIN, were checked in consequence. In the circumstances, no action was taken. At the 200 Metres, GOUF, which was endeavouring to improve into running between CONFUCIUS CLASSIC and MR COOL (Apprentice K C Leung), was checked away from the heels of MR COOL which shifted out. Apprentice Leung was severely reprimanded and told in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mount. KINGIFLY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, KINGIFLY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, KINGIFLY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. EVER BEAUTY, CONFUCIUS CLASSIC and KUNG FU were sent for sampling.

Additional Veterinary Reports
KINGIFLY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. KINGIFLY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer P F Yiu this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, KINGIFLY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
