Racing Incident Report

CRUSH ON YOU was slow to begin, then lost further ground when crowded for room between BOBO WIN which was hampered and carried out by SUPER PLUS and JOY TRUMPS which on jumping bounded in the air and shifted in. FIRST BABY was slow to begin. On jumping, LEADER was bumped by FISHKING EXCELLENT which shifted in after initially shifting out and hitting the outside gate of its stall, then bumping with MIGHTY WINNER which shifted in. After the race, Apprentice M L Yeung (FISHKING EXCELLENT) reported he sustained an injury to his left foot as a result of his mount beginning awkwardly and striking the outside gate of its stall. Apprentice Yeung was examined by the Club's doctor who said in his opinion he was fit to fulfil his remaining riding engagements. MOON CHASER began awkwardly , causing D Whyte, its rider, to become unbalanced. In the early stages, MOON CHASER proved difficult to settle. From a wide barrier in the early stages, when racing without cover, LUCKY DRAGON was allowed to drift back. At the 400 Metres, Apprentice M L Yeung dropped his whip. At the 250 Metres, FIRST BABY, which was closing the race off, was checked and shifted in to avoid the heels of SCOOT DA LOOT which was giving ground. At the 200 Metres, FIRST BABY was again steadied and shifted to the inside of SUPER PLUS to continue going forward. When FIRST BABY was shifted in, JOY TRUMPS and BOBO WIN, which were racing to its inside, were momentarily crowded for room. Over the concluding stages, ALL TIME HIGH got its head on the side and hung out. In the Straight, LEADER hung in. MOON CHASER, LEADER and ALL TIME HIGH were sent for sampling.
