Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the start, BAYVIEW GREYSLEW had its tongue tie refitted. After being boxed, QUICK MONEY became fractious, reared and momentarily had its left front leg caught over the outside partition of its stall and in doing so made contact with the neck of KAISER’S CHOIX which had drawn to its outside. QUICK MONEY and KAISER’S CHOIX were removed from their stalls and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in their opinion they were suitable to race. QUICK MONEY was slow to begin. For the major part of the race, QUICK MONEY travelled wide and without cover and making the turn at the 1000 Metres was hampered when FOREVER FORTUNE became unbalanced and shifted out while being steadied away from the heels of BAYVIEW GREYSLEW. Then prior to straightening, QUICK MONEY gave ground and finished tailed out. The performance of QUICK MONEY was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, QUICK MONEY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. In the early and middle stages, BAYVIEW GREYSLEW travelled wide and without cover and approaching the turn at the 600 Metres was allowed to stride forward into a two wide position. At the 700 Metres, MAGIC TURBO, which was steadied away from the heels of MULTI MILLIONS which was steadied away from the heels of SWEET BABY which shifted in when barely clear. Approaching the 200 Metres, OCTAGONAL CANYON had difficulty obtaining clear running and then after the 200 Metres was carried in by MAGIC TURBO. BIG KAHUNA, JUGGERNAUT and EVERGREEN were sent for sampling.
