Racing Incident Report

During the preliminary, GEM MASTER lost its left front plate. After arriving at the Start, GEM MASTER was replated and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. On jumping, PACIFIC ALLIANCE was taken across behind runners. MEGA BULLET was slow to muster speed and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of FISHKING EXCELLENT which shifted out. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, STRIKE TO WIN failed to muster speed, for the major part of the race travelled wide and without cover and making the turn at the 600 Metres was carried wider by SINOSPIEL which shifted to the outside of ALL FOR ONE. Prior to straightening, MEGA BULLET was steadied when held up and unable to improve. After the 300 Metres, KING OF FISH was steadied when disappointed for running between SINOSPIEL and STRIKE TO WIN which was carried in slightly by DECAGONAL (D Beadman) which had its head on the side and shifted ground. At the 100 Metres, KING OF FISH was again steadied away from the heels of DECAGONAL which shifted in when not quite clear. D Beadman was told in similar circumstances he would be expected to exercise more care. Near the 200 Metres, MEGA BULLET was shifted to the outside of BULB TREASURE to obtain clear running. KING OF FISH, BULB TREASURE and MEGA BULLET were sent for sampling.
