Racing Incident Report
After arriving at the Start, the tongue tie fitted to REGENCY HORSE was replaced. ROYAL PRINCE bounded in the air at the start. Despite being ridden along out of the barriers, RIVER JORDAN did not muster pace and shortly afterwards was taken across behind runners to a position on the rail. At the 150 Metres, RIVER JORDAN was checked when crowded for room between SURVEY SURVEY and SILVER SUN (Apprentice C W Wong) which shifted out as Apprentice Wong attempted to re-gather his right rein which he dropped momentarily. In the circumstances, no action was taken. In the Straight, SUPER TRAVELLER hung in. Throughout the race, FIRM OFFER travelled wide and without cover. O Doleuze (REGENCY HORSE) said because the horse had been racing out of form, it was decided today from gate 10 to ride the horse quietly in the hope it would finish its race off. He said because of this in the early stages he took REGENCY HORSE back behind runners. He said however REGENCY HORSE again failed to finish the race off today. RIVER JORDAN, FULL OF JOY and JOYFUL WINNER were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported TCHAIKOVSKY had bled from both nostrils.
