Racing Incident Report
FLYING PROFILE was slow to begin. Making the turn near the 2000 Metres, SPECTACULAR HIT was steadied away from the heels of SPARKLE. Near the 900 Metres, SPECTACULAR HIT, which was racing tight inside RED FORTUNE, was steadied away from the heels of SPARKLE. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, FEBURO was crowded for room inside ACCELERATION. In this incident, ACCELERATION lost ground when relieving the pressure. At the 250 Metres, SPARKLE was steadied away from the heels of RED FORTUNE. G Mossé (FLYING PROFILE) explained in the early stages he travelled on the rail. He said after passing the winning post on the first occasion when he felt his mount was not comfortable in its action, he steadied to allow ACCELERATION the opportunity to shift in in front of him as he believed it was in his mount's best interest to shift to the outside of that horse to ensure in what was a slowly run race it had clear running. He said after the 1200 Metres when the tempo of the race remained very steady, he shifted to a three wide position so that he would be able to gradually improve his position, believing that the race would develop into a sprint home which would not suit his mount. He said near the 1000 Metres NATURAL ECHO shifted to a three wide position in front of him and commenced to improve its position which provided him with cover. He said however the action of FLYING PROFILE did not feel comfortable and in his opinion this was responsible for the horse not being able to finish the race off tonight. FLYING PROFILE, ACCELERATION and FORTUNE GOLD were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FLYING PROFILE, ACCELERATION and FORTUNE GOLD after the race did not show any significant findings. SHOW BRAVELY and JOY AND TREASURE were sent for sampling.
