Racing Incident Report
STEEL NERVES, which was fractious in the gates, was slow to begin. TREASURE PLANET was slow to begin. In the early and middle stages, FAST WINNER proved difficult to settle. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, TREASURE PLANET, which had been hanging out, commenced to hang out badly. This caused inconvenience to DR POSSI which was hampered and carried wider. After this, TREASURE PLANET was eased down. The performance of TREASURE PLANET was considered unacceptable. As the horse had performed similarly in the past, TREASURE PLANET will be required to perform to the Stewards' satisfaction in successive official barrier trials around a bend before being permitted to race again. Just prior to the winning post, LOLLIPOP, which had improved into a narrow run inside KEEN FLYER which was hanging in, was then steadied away from the heels of NEW TRIUMPH which shifted in when barely clear. As such, LOLLIPOP was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. Throughout the race, NEW TRIUMPH travelled wide and without cover. HURRAY HURRAY and NEW TRIUMPH were sent for sampling.
