Racing Incident Report

TOY QUEST was slow to begin. PERFECT FEELING began awkwardly and lost ground. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, CONQUEROR, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when close to the heels of SEASONS TREASURE. After the 1000 Metres, after being crossed by SOLAR POWER, SUNBELL shifted away from the rail. As a consequence, CARRY GOOD NEWS and ESPERANZA were carried wider. Shortly after this, CARRY GOOD NEWS was steadied and shifted back to a position behind SUNBELL. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, SOLAR POWER was momentarily crowded for room inside SUNBELL which at this time got its head on the side and shifted in. From on straightening until near the 100 Metres, SOLAR POWER had difficulty obtaining clear running between CALIFORNIAMOUNTAIN and MAGI JOY and on several occasions approaching and passing the 200 Metres bumped with MAGI JOY. From the 250 Metres until the 100 Metres, PERFECT FEELING was unable to obtain clear running. For some distance after the 200 Metres, CARRY GOOD NEWS raced tight inside SUNBELL which shifted in slightly. For the major part of the race, ESPERANZA travelled wide and without cover. CALIFORNIAMOUNTAIN and SOLAR POWER were sent for sampling.
