Racing Incident Report

When being saddled, JIANG JUN became fractious. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said it had sustained an abrasion over the left hip. He said while JIANG JUN had sustained an abrasion over the left hip, it was in his opinion suitable to race. STRONG GAIN began awkwardly and lost ground. After the 1000 Metres, GOLDEN CARE was checked when crowded for room inside BRAMBLE BLITZ which shifted in after being bumped on the hindquarters by THUNDER DANCING which at this time was carried in by FIFTY FIFTY which got its head on the side, proved difficult to control and shifted in away from HAR HAR CHARMS after initially being carried in by that horse. Near the 900 Metres, THUNDER DANCING was checked when crowded for room between BRAMBLE BLITZ which shifted out slightly and FIFTY FIFTY which continued to race ungenerously with its head on the side and shifted in. Although the incidents were of significance, the Stewards were of the opinion the racing manners of FIFTY FIFTY were the cause of the interference, therefore no action was taken. For the major part of the race, JIANG JUNG hung out, near the 600 Metres shifted ground and was checked away from the heels of HAR HAR CHARMS. At the 600 Metres, MULTI MILLIONS was steadied and shifted in away from the heels of ENGINEERING WONDER. Prior to straightening, THUNDER DANCING was steadied when disappointed for running between FIFTY FIFTY and BRAMBLE BLITZ. Near the 100 Metres, GOLDEN CARE was steadied and shifted out to continue going forward. BRAMBLE BLITZ was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, BRAMBLE BLITZ was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was displaying an irregular heart beat. Before being allowed to race again, BRAMBLE BLITZ will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. JIANG JUN, YELLOW DIAMOND and KING ENCOSTA were sent for sampling.
