Racing Incident Report

WIKI WIKI was withdrawn on 6.5.06 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (stiff action in front) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter KINGSTON MARBLE (A Delpech). Before being allowed to race again, WIKI WIKI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FLYING TAMARI bounded in the air at the start. On jumping, MACAROON and KINGSTON MARBLE bumped, causing MACAROON to lose ground. OURAJA shifted out on jumping and bumped the hindquarters of SAND DANCE. Shortly after this, OURAJA was checked to avoid the heels of SAND DANCE which shifted in. PROFIT HILL was slow to begin. Mr T K Ng, trainer of BULB KING, explained the horse was today having its 4th run from a lengthy break due to enforced injury. He said he attributed BULB KING's improved performance to the fact that its fitness had improved with racing. FLYING TAMARI was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. After the race, FLYING TAMARI was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, FLYING TAMARI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BULB KING and SAND DANCE were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported GIANFANTI had lost its right front plate and DRAGON AND GOLD had lost its left front plate.
